The views are amazing in this beautiful hotel My husband and I stayed at the Vista del Angel Hotel for 3 nights. It is a lovely, boutique hotel decorated with beautiful paintings that make it seem like a gallery. Our room was small but comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant on our first evening and the food was delicious. We ate breakfast there each day and it was wonderful. Chris waited on us each time we visited the restaurant and his service and helpfulness was fabulous. The front desk staff was also extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel is really a visual treat - so pretty - and the views are amazing. It is at the top of a very steep hill! It is an easy, short walk down the hill to the historic center of Quito but, boy, the walk up is arduous. Luckily, you can grab a taxi anywhere for the short ride back up - it will cost a couple of dollars. Be sure to have the cross streets on the tip of your tongue because it is not a major hotel and not all taxis know where it is - but they all know the streets. A fun time in Quito!

Incredible experience Incredible, beautiful hotel and amazing value! We were wowed by how nice this hotel was for such an affordable price, and it had such cute charm and character. The building itself is beautiful, every room has its own theme, the free amenities like the jacuzzi are a wonderful touch, as is the luxurious free breakfast every morning. Staff was so kind and accommodating and the view from the hotel couldn’t be better. We felt so safe staying here and it was a great location within the city. Highly recommend booking some day tours through the front desk, especially with Rene!

truly wonderful stay! This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The staff is especially kind and attentive. Our room with a garden/patio view and small sitting area was so comfortable and quiet, and we loved that the windows opened to get a nice breeze. The breakfast service included juice, fresh fruits (some that were new to us!), granola & yogurt, eggs cooked to order, coffee or espresso drinks, and bread/croissants -- all was high quality and delicious. The view at the top of the hotel really is the very best in the city, and the whole place is clean and very well-appointed. As other reviews mention, the walk up can be a little rough (though completely doable if you want a bit of exercise), but yellow taxis are readily available and cheap. A good rule of thumb is to get a taxi to go anyplace at night, and don't try to wear heels!

Nice stay with a beautiful view Very nice hotel with beautiful views. Everything was comfortable and the service was good. The breakfast in the morning was huge and tasty. It was a quick walk for sightseeing. The parking was a bit scary but worth it!

Unglaublich tolle Aussicht - sehr schönes Hotel Der Ausblick fällt direkt ins Auge mit dem Blick über die Altstadt mit den vielen Kirchen und auf dem Hügel die Jungfrau von Quito. Die Zimmer bieten viel Platz, alles sehr schön ausgestattet und auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Super nette und aufmerksame Besitzerin, die uns bei unserer frühen Abreise ungefragt noch eine kleine Frühstücksbox gab.

Lovely hotel and staff! We really enjoyed our stay -- the hotel is beautiful with a spectacular view of the Virgen de El Panecillo. We had booked our reservation direct with the hotel through Whats App and booked an airport pickup with them for 8:30 PM at the same time -- the driver was right there at the exit with a sign waiting for us which was so convenient and helpful since we didn't want to mess with getting a taxi after traveling all day. It was an easy walk down the hill to the cathedral and Old Town (but we took a taxi for the trip back to avoid the steep uphill climb!) The staff are so friendly, and the hotel is furnished with beautiful furniture and art. The service and food at breakfast was wonderful. We'd hoped to stay for dinner before leaving for the aiport, but the restaurant didn't open until 7 PM. They volunteered to have the chef make us something earlier, which was so nice, but we didn't want to cause an inconvenience. Thank you!

A wonderful hotel stay We (two couples) stayed at Vista Del Angel for a weeklong visit to Quito. The hotel was clean and the rooms were well stocked with fresh water and amenities. The hotel is centrally located in the historic old town of Quito and is within walking distance to plenty of sights including the town center and the basilica. The hotel is on a fairly steep hill so be sure to take it slow when walking back! We loved the hospitality of the staff, particularly Jennifer and Henry, who were very welcoming and helped answer our questions and plan our days. We were belatedly celebrating two birthdays and the staff even helped us plan a little surprise at breakfast! Overall, we loved our stay here!
